Quick answer: A press-on that lifts early is often affected by fit, moisture or oil on the natural nail, an incomplete adhesive bond, or daily wear. Check those factors before changing products or adding more adhesive.

Start with the fit
A tip that is too narrow may be under tension; one that extends onto skin may lift at the edges. Test-fit each finger before application. Fine Point currently offers Small, Medium and Large sets in several shapes, but not every design has every size available. Use the size chart and each product’s size selector.
Check the preparation
The natural nail should be clean and fully dry before adhesive is applied. Residual lotion, oil, old polish or water can interfere with the bond. Lay out all ten tips in advance so you can apply each one without touching the prepared nail surface repeatedly.
Follow your adhesive’s directions
Glue and tabs have different application and removal instructions. Use the amount, placement and press time specified for the adhesive you actually have. Excess adhesive is not a reliable substitute for good fit and preparation. Avoid applying adhesive to skin or an irritated nail.
Consider everyday activities
Frequent water exposure, pressure on a tip, or using nails as tools can shorten wear. Wear time varies from person to person; there is no universal number of days. If a single finger repeatedly lifts, re-check that finger’s width and how the tip sits on the nail rather than assuming all ten nails need a different size.
Before reapplying: Remove a lifted tip gently, clean and dry both surfaces as directed for your adhesive, and replace a damaged tip. Do not glue over a painful or injured nail.
